Welcome to the Nesbit PTA Ohana - We add the AWESOME! to Nesbit

The Nesbit PTA Ohana (Ohana means "family" in Hawaiian) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent and teacher organization (Tax ID #:  94-6184980) that encourages parent and teacher collaboration working towards delivering an outstanding education for all students. At Nesbit K-8, we are fortunate to have a highly active PTA that focuses on three primary goals: 1) Community Building towards a positive learning environment and connectivity between families; 2) Advocacy for children’s education; and (3) Fundraising to support educational and enrichment programs that benefit the children of Nesbit K-8. 

Monetary donations to Nesbit Elementary PTA are eligible for tax deduction, as well as Corporate Matching programs (Non-Profit Organization #: 9539943). Please contact our Treasurer, Sid Tao ( if you have questions about donations to Nesbit Elementary PTA.

By funding your local PTA, it ensures that we are able to work together to support many of the key programs that benefit Nesbit’s children. In particular, we very much value sponsorship of:

  • Educator Development Programs
  • Classroom Supplies and Field Trips
  • Outdoor Ed
  • Robotics & Maker Programs
  • Field Trips
  • Science
  • Music for Minors
  • Eighth Grade Graduation Events
  • Technology (online programs and equipment)
  • and much more….

In short, every dollar that we generate goes directly to the classroom, enrichment programs, or the development of our educators and technology at Nesbit.

How Can You Help? Take These Steps

  1. Get Involved - Raise your hand that you are willing to help. Email Angela Brady at
  2. FundraisingDonate now so we can fund the programs mentioned above.
  3. Corporate Match - Contact Sid Tao at if you need assistance with setting up corporate matching at your company or if you need a donation receipt.
  4. Events - Attend and support our community events.
  5. Pawprints Newsletter - Sign up for our weekly Nesbit Pawprints Newsletter to stay informed by clicking here
  6. Join our Nesbit School Facebook private group
  7. Attend our PTA meetings - every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Nesbit's Office Staff room.  EVERYONE is invited to attend!!

Easy Ways to Earn Money for your PTA

1.  Shop on via and a portion of every purchase will be donated to Nesbit.  You will have to first register Nesbit Elementary PTA as your charitable organization of choice by going to  Everytime thereafter that you go to, you will be asked if you would prefer to shop through  Amazon will then donate a percentage of your purchases to Nesbit!  Couldn't be easier!

2.  Register your credit cards with and choose Nesbit School as your charitable organization. Every time you eat at participating merchants, a portion will be donated to Nesbit.

3. Collect Box Tops from food packages and turn them into the front office.
