Principal's Wednesday Letters

The Principal's Wednesday Letters are written weekly in the hopes of keeping families informed and connected to Nesbit.  Hard copies are sent home weekly on Wednesdays in your child's backpack.  In addition to the Wednesday Letter, Go Pumas! phone calls and emails are sent home regularly to assure that parents in-the-know of school events (be sure that the office has your correct phone numbers and emails so that you receive these Go Pumas! alerts).  Teachers also communicate regularly with parents either through classroom Shutterfly Share Sites or through newsletters and emails.  Nesbit's staff is committed to assuring that parents have the information they need to help their child succeed.  Should you ever have a question or a concern, please know that a Nesbit staff member is only an email click or a phone call away.  Please do reach out to us!

About Robin Maganaris

Robin Maganaris has been principal at Nesbit School since 2011.  Her career in education started in 1993 as a 4th grade teacher at McAuliffe School in the Cupertino Union School District.  After six years at McAuliffe, she joined the San Carlos Charter Learning Center staff as a kindergarten and K/1 teacher and worked there for ten years.  After 16 years as a classroom educator, she made the move to administration and became principal at Panorama School in the Brisbane School District where she stayed for three years.  She then joined Nesbit's staff for the 2011-2012 year and has been here ever since. While she never imagined loving anything more than being a classroom teacher, she has found that being a school principal is her life's purpose.  In addition to being an educator, she is also a wife, a mother of two children (one in college and one a middle schooler at Nesbit) and an enthusiastic reader.  She and her family live in Belmont.  Click here for Robin's Bio.

About Jessica Ross

Jessica Ross is thrilled to serve her first year as assistant principal here at Nesbit!  She started her full-time career in education at Ralston Middle School, also part of our Belmont-Redwood Shores School District family.  There, she taught English, was the PBIS Coordinator, supported School-Force and PTA, and served on a variety of other committees and in other leadership roles.  In addition to Ralston, Jessica has experience teaching English and English language learners in the San Mateo-Foster City School District and in Albany, Oakland, and Menlo-Atherton High School.  As much as Jessica loved being in the trenches (aka the classroom), she decided to go into administration to help make a broader impact on the lives of our young scholars and community.  She believes strongly in the powers of transparent communication and collaboration to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of every child.  Outside of school, Jessica travels at every opportunity, practices martial arts, cooks for friends and family, and eats -- a lot!
