SchoolForce is a non-profit (c)(3) organization whose mission is to ensure an exceptional education for the children of the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District.

Thanks to SchoolForce, Nesbit receives the following (all of which would be lost without SchoolForce's financial support):

  • Technology (Chromebooks, iPads)
  • Full-Time Reading Specialists (vs. 50% without SchoolForce)
  • 50% Librarian Aide (vs. NO Librarian Aide and a closed library)
  • Instrumental music and choral music instruction for grades 4-5 by a specialized music credentialed teacher (vs. no instrumental music program and choral instruction taught by general education classroom teacher)
  • Science instruction for grades 4-5 by a specialized science credentialed teacher (vs. general education classroom teacher teaching science)
  • 3 hours a day of a Teacher's Aide (vs. no teaching assistants at Nesbit for general education classrooms)

Donate to SchoolForce

In order to maintain the vital programs School Force provides to Nesbit, School Force asks ALL families to make a donation of $1500 per child.  While $1500 is a lot of money, monthly payments of $100 can be made and $100 per month for a continued quality education program for your child is outstanding.  Of course, while $1500 is the goal, ANY donation to School Force is most welcomed!

SchoolForce Events

School Force strives to raise $2 million dollars for the 2014-2015 school year.  In order to do so, School Force holds 3 major events:

  • Annual Giving Campaign ($1500 per child) -- kicks off every year in November and is an opportunity for families to support SchoolForce individually
  • Save the Music Festival in October -- a BRSSD community event for everyone to enjoy
  • Reading Power mid-January through February -- an opportunity for relatives and friends of children who attend BRSSD to show their support through a sponsorship of a child's reading
  • Return the Envelope -- March through April
  • Spring Fundraiser - a BRSSD district-wide annual auction, dinner and dance!
